Energy Efficiency
Inspired Systems leverages our U.S. Navy automation and controls experience in developing solutions for researchers, builders, developers, industrial plant owners and homeowners. Marine Systems
Supporting the U.S Navy for several decades, performing research and development programs which assist the Navy in developing affordable power solutions for future surface combatants, submarines, expeditionary warfare ships, combat logistic ships, maritime prepositioning force ships, and support vessels. New platform support includes:

  • Surface ships, including Aegis destroyers, the new DDG 1000 Zumwalt destroyer, future cruisers, the new Littoral Combat Ship and carriers.

Inspired Systems has expertise in the engineering and management with advanced power system and technology development programs. Experienced in the research, development, and integration of Electrical/Electro-Mechanical power systems and components.

Renewable Energy
Inspired Systems has considerable experience in state-of-the-art zonal power distribution using DC and/or AC. Our engineers have designed distributions systems and components for use in power generation, distribution and hybrid electric propulsion systems on various naval performs such as DDG-51, DDG 1000 as well as other. These platforms have power source systems with mission critical operational and performance specifications. Due to the nature of the loads and finite generation capability, complex interactions are always present and hence an engineering approach not usually needed in the terrestrial power grid needs to be applied.

As renewable energy sources like wind, water, solar and others become a more predominant presence on the power fed to the grid, electrical dynamics within power distribution segments must be understood and issues resolved. These dynamics have not been major issues for the grid to date, but are certain to cause problems in the upcoming future.
